contact the minnesota attorney general Buying a dog or cat from a breeder or pet store or through a website is a consumer transaction covered under consumer protection laws. If you purchased a sick puppy or kitten from a breeder, pet store or from a website and believe the sickness is attributable to the breeder or that broker, contact the Attorney General’s office and make them aware of this issue. If you believe a breeder or pet store is using false claims through its advertising (i.e. website, print ads, on the phone, in person), report this as well. Keep copies of ads.
